I randomly met a guy, Gio, at an Urban Outfitters after a photo shoot. Months later, he invited me to an art exhibit opening in SoHo and there I met his lady friend, Ozzy. Then Ozzy and I clicked and added each other on Instagram. After that her identical twin, Rosie, who happens to be a creative & a photographer, also added me. We clicked! When she said she's visiting NYC, I didn't hesitate to go meet her.
Another one. My close friend Joe invite me to a purse party hosted by Wilbur in Long Island. Normally I'll be like, "Long Island? That's far!" but I went anyway. There I bought my favorite cross-body bag and now I'm SK Wilbur's "blogger boo". (I love it when he calls me that!)

Meeting people really is the best part of what I do!

If you met the 14-year old me, you would probably say, "She's too jaded. What's wrong wit her?" I made myself unapproachable because I didn't like to meet people. People scared the living hell out of me & I scared people away.

Don't worry, I'm cured from "people phobia".

If you're feeling a bit uneasy meeting new people, you need to loosen up a bit and give people a chance. I'm not saying be their instaBFFL. Step away from your comfort zone, to have an open mind and keep the vibes positive. You never know what kind of friendships and connections can blossom from someone who was once a stranger.

MEET ROSIE GUERRA

I met Rosie through Instagram & she took these photos you see here. She's a Photographer, fashion stylist and an aspiring creative director. She currently lives in Providence, RI but she's most definitely a New York gal. She learned and started doing photography about 8 years ago, in her senior year in high school during an after school program, where she learned all the basics of traditional photography. She enjoys capturing any kinds of candid moments, but her real passion for photography lies in shooting fashion, beauty or street style. She loves collaborating with fashion and style bloggers, or working in production as part team of creative people developing film, music videos, and events.

Wilbur is the indie designer behind the SK WiLBUR brand. He made this amazing backpack you see here. He started his label nearly 19 years ago, making elegant and well-tailored women's apparel. He transitioned from ready-to-wear to accessories almost 4 years ago, which added a sense of ease and fun to his aesthetic. What has resulted is a collection of handcrafted bags created with luxurious leather and suede and durable cotton canvas suitable for both sexes. All materials are sourced from U.S. based manufacturers and all bags are made by Wilbur himself. You know there's a whole lot of love that goes in each bag.
