Basics That Aren't Basic

"Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals."

Ahhh, you now when you just wear that one outfit and ain't nothing gonna break your stride? This was it for me.

I always find maxi dresses to be a no-fuss thing to wear. Wear it and boom, outfit done!
This maxi dress was purchased from a more dressy department in Forever21. It's "meant" to be worn with heels and all the fancy schmancy things. I say "meant" because rules with clothes aren't really a thing...well, it shouldn't be.

With this outfit, I went for a super comfy but put together vibe. It was about 90 degrees that day and I could've easily just went out with the dress but I didn't. Instead, I took my handy dandy beach cover-up (Yes, it's a beach cover-up. What did I say about "rules with clothes"?) to cut all the black and freshen up the look a bit. It also helped the semi-formal dress to look a bit more casual. I then added my cool AF white flats and sunglasses. As for my purse, well it's not a purse. It's a cosmetics bag from Angela Roi. (refer back to "rules with clothes")
