Take Me Anywhere + My Birthland

Muscle tee is from my aunt. She purchased it when she was on vacation in the Philippines.

I was born in the Philippines, lived there for about 11 years & moved to America. I haven't been back since.

Life was simple there. We enjoyed good food, good company & karaoke, lots of it. We always played sports outside our homes until we got tired or until our parents yell at us. We also hopped over to our neighbors' yards to pick whatever they're growing in their backyards or just sat somewhere & played pretend. Being a kid was certainly fun.

Before I moved to America, I felt super crappy. The thought of moving to a new place, let alone to a new country, gave me the only anxiety. Just imagine leaving everything & everybody you know & getting plopped down to a foreign land, for good. Yea, it was not fun. The only thing I had going for me was I knew how to speak English. I had the thickest accent but I still held a conversation. We were taught to speak English at all times in schools & if we were caught speaking  "Tagalog" (Philippines' native language), we were asked to pay 1 peso. Paying with money as consequence was a good teacher.

I guess you can call this post the beginning of a loooooong story! If you're curious about anything, do ask questions. If you ask me anything about food in the Philippines, it might take me days to finish answering, lol. Our foods are really interesting & delicious.

My dual watch was given by my brother. It was a Christmas gift & I sure was happy to have received it. Daylight Savings Time isn't a hassle anymore :)
