You're probably asking yourself, "dafuq is she giving me tips about health?" and honestly, I can't blame you. All I know is that the past 4 weeks has been the absolute hell for my health and I would hate for any of you beautiful people to have to go through the same ordeal. I have to now adjust my lifestyle because I didn't take care of myself as a young buck.

I just want to share a list of what I should've done sooner before the aches and pains and daily medications at 31. It's not the most glamorous life but I'm grateful. Now I'm not saying it's the most terrible thing in the world but if you can prevent having to go through the hassle and live a healthier life, please do so.

  • SLEEP at least 6 hours

Yup, my body and mind refuse to sleep. I always thought I need to hustle, work as much as I can and for as long as I can to succeed. Let's be real, your success will be short-lived if you can't live long enough to enjoy it. Please sleep longer because our bodies need to reach R.E.M. sleep to fully rest and recharge and we only reach that after 5 hours of sleep.

  • take some vitamins

I fought my parents to-the-core growing up with this. The idea of taking vitamins or any pills was nauseating but I wish I listened to them. Nowadays, my whole body snaps, crackles and pops like Rice Krispies treats from time to time! For me, it's a little too late since I am currently taking medication for other things but you still have time! Please see your doctor, take your blood test and find out which vitamins work for you.

  • drink more water

This is embarrassing to say but I have said, "I don't like drinking water", more times than I should and meant it. Looking back now, it is stupid. Our bodies are literally 60% water that we obviously need it to be well! Today, I make it my business to drink about 2 liters per day. I gas myself up into drinking water by chugging from this badass, matte black 40 oz. water container which keeps the water cold all day! I figure if I was gonna drink water, why not also look cool doing so at work.

  • move more

Notice that I didn't say exercise or yoga or whatever. In my experience, I don't think it matter what you do as long as you stay active. I currently have a day job sitting at a desk all day, sitting at my work bench when i make jewelry and sitting for hours when i edit photos and I really do believe that annihilated my back 3 weeks ago. There's a whole lot of sitting and not  lot of moving. So my suggestion is if you do sit a lot on your day-to-day, just stand up and take a stroll every hour or stretch while you're sitting.

  • eat in moderation

Yes, I didn't say eat healthy. This list is not to deprive you! My issue was that I ate until I hated myself. Please don't do that. Do you really need to do that 46 oz. steak challenge you read about? Or that Epic Meal Time you saw on YoutTube? Or that Insider video you saw of that giant burger that chick took one bite of? Seriously. Nobody should eat like that.Of course, it's preferred to eat healthier but if you were going to have a cheat meal, just eat in moderation.
