Leather bomber + chokers + social media

Lingering thoughts...

Nowadays you cannot see anyone NOT looking at their phones. These smart phones just made it easy to connect with people and share your special or non-special moments. It also made it easy for the dreamers to see what they could also have or want for themselves. But like the quote I shared, social media is not all dandy.

With that said, I'm just over here trying to be me because in the world of fame & glamour, being your complete self is the bravest thing you can do.

To be honest, it is quite difficult to stay true to yourself nowadays. So many social media goddesses are ruling our phones & too much inspiration to take in. Sometimes you sit there wishing you have what they have. It's a human programming thing, we tend to wish for things we don't have.

For years, I've worked myself to not give a crap about what people thought of me. That I do or say what I want, when I want to & I'll share things I want to share. I don't think it's me being arrogant, I think it's me just accepting me...as me. I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as you don't hurt anyone physically, emotionally & mentally. (Yes, hurt comes in all sorts of forms.)

Let me take it down a notch & talk about my outfit

This might be my favorite outfit to date.
Nothing brings me more joy than wearing a man's button-up shirt and a thrifted leather bomber jacket with my DIY distressed jeans...all at the same time. Well, a little too much love for the outfit but you know how it is when you feel great in a get-up.

I wore my favorite heels from ASOS to add a great pop of color. I thought it paired nicely with my vintage Isadora silk scarf, which I used as a choker. Also, layering MD.13 necklaces (which are in my store NOW!)
